Holiday seasons offer a chance and a challenge to reflect on what family really means to us, whether they are blood-related or not. Holidays not only provide opportunities for family to celebrate, to remind us to honor our loved ones and to pay tribute to our ancestors but also bring back unresolved memories and challenge us to examine America's mosaic cultural roots.

As an ordained interfaith chaplain and Unitarian Universalist community minister, Rev. Young serves as a guest minister and offers emotional and spiritual care through empathetic listening for those who are in need. At the same time, through her ministry, she provides authentic leadership development and holistic life coaching for groups and individuals. She has helped people deal with grief, life-ending, caregiving, spiritual wounding, moral injury, and other life and relationship stresses. She also offers mentoring for social activists.
