"The Spiritual Practice of Solidarity: Our Pilgrimage Towards Collective Liberation"

At the heart of our justice work is the call to build a world where no one is left behind, but getting there requires us to lay down our egos and practice true solidarity and collective care. When we move alongside each other in times of crisis- whether moving in solidarity with migrants during the Dilley pilgrimages or being present with organizers in Minneapolis- we transform our activism into a deep spiritual discipline. Join Michelle Venegas-Matula, Organizing Director of the Texas UU Justice Ministry (TXUUJM), to explore the profound ministry of showing up and sharing the weight of liberation.

Michelle Venegas-Matula is a Boricua Latina, a community organizer since 2011, living with an invisible disability. She is the Organizing Director for the Texas UU Justice Ministry (TXUUJM). At the heart of her work is a commitment to guiding UUs to be active participants in the justice movement, ensuring that together, we are building a more just, equitable, and inclusive world grounded in collective care and liberation.
