DRUUMM Texas Retreat

Friday March 31, 2023 through Sunday April 2, 2023

Wildflower Church

1314 E Oltorf St,

Austin, TX 78704

As part of our faith journey as Unitarian Universalists, we are regularly challenged by the ways race and racism affect our lives and our spirituality. Within our congregations we are creating space to build a community of care among UU People of Color, opportunities to explore deeper questions around race, culture and our religious values.

DRUUMM invites members and BIPOC friends to a special weekend hybrid retreat hosted at our Wildflower Church in Austin, Texas in-person and with a Zoom option. Our goal is to nurture new relationships between UU People of Color across the region and engage in deeper relationship building, spiritual growth, and community organizing.

Please indicate which sessions you will be able to attend in your registration:

  1. Friday, March 31st 6pm to 9pm - Dinner, Music & Social Hour
  2. Saturday, April 1st 10am to 1130am - In-Gathering and Worship
  3. Saturday, April 1st 12pm to 130pm - Lunch
  4. Saturday, April 1st 2pm to 330pm - Our History and Our Future as BIPOC UU
  5. Saturday, April 1st 330pm to 500pm - Small group caucuses
  6. Saturday, April 1st 530pm to 700pm - Dinner
  7. Sunday, April 2nd, 1130am to 1pm - Worship Service

This is a Black, Indigenous and People of Color focused program, open to all ages. Interested White allies are encouraged to participate in a parallel program with Allies for Racial Equity. All are invited to Sunday’s worship celebration at Wildflower Church featuring the Rev. Sarah Dendy Green.
