Join DRUUMM California’s Fall Retreat 2026: Finding Our Path Toward Collective Liberation on Oct 10th from 9am to 4pm, followed by an in-person Palestine Solidarity Action at 5pm.

Attend online and in-person at the Northern Ca site - First Unitarian Church of San Jose or the Southern Ca site - First UU Church of San Diego.

DRUUMM California invites Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Unitarian Universalists across California to come together online and in-person at First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego or First Unitarian Church of San Jose. We will examine our relationships with our faith spaces, social justice collectives, and each other while continuing to build Beloved Community as BIPOC UUs within DRUUMM CA.

Keynote speaker, Jewell Faamagili will lead a panel discussion unpacking why our movements stall, why our congregations sometimes struggle to do hard things, and ways we can consider our individual and collective roles in creating the Beloved Community Dr. King envisioned.

Our panel brings together three leaders doing this work on the ground: Antoinette Hollamon of the UU Women's Federation and UU Justice Ministry of California; Valeria Aguilar, Social Justice Coordinator at First UU San Diego; and Angela Oh, Civil Rights Attorney at the Dept of Justice and Founder of Gift of Compassion.
