DRUUMM Village: Beloved Gathering Opening Worship Livestream

All DRUUMM members are welcome to tune in to Opening Worship at our Beloved Gathering. Led by Beloved Gathering’s liturgist, Rev. Karishma Gottfried, with Rev. Randy Lewis as our featured preacher, this service will be focused on grounding us in the context of our time & place, and celebrating & acknowledging all that it means to be a Unitarian Universalist of color today.  If you are joining us virtually, we invite you to take some actions to mark the time as sacred: clear your space, get comfortable, perhaps with a favorite snack or beverage, bring a chalice or candle to light, and bring an object or photo to symbolically add to our physical altar space in Kansas City.

Throughout history, there have always been voices that disturb the peace and upset the status quo. Truth-tellers have been dismissed, discredited, silenced, and even destroyed. Together, we’ll explore the uneasy space between what is said, what is heard, and what we would rather not hear at all. What truths are demanding to be spoken in our time?
