Worship Together with:

Rev. Crystal Saiyge and Alice Magara

"Global Worship Exchange: Drawing Circles"
January 31 at 10:00 AM EST

The Global Worship Exchange (GWE) is a monthly worship service co-hosted by Sister Souurce with U/Us in Kenya. It grew out of the momentum and reach of Rev. Crystal Saiyge’s global installation service as Executive Director, which brought together more than 250 participants, including 130 attendees across Kenya. The strength of that international participation revealed both the appetite and the relational infrastructure for an ongoing, cross-border worship model rooted in mutual exchange rather than one-directional presentation.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Worship Service

Sister Souurce's former director, Rev. Qiyamah Rahman, embarked on a pilgrimage across the African continent in 2024 and interviewed thousands of Unitarian Universalists, particularly in Kenya, which has a robust council of churches called UU Church of Kenya (6 regions and 40 congregations).

Sister Souurce's monthly Global Worship Exchange (GWE) launched in December 2025 and features liberal theological topics, progressive preaching, queer-affirming leadership, and shared Unitarian Universalist learning.

January's theme will be drawing the circle wide, and the UU lesson will be on pluralism and inclusion, discussing the history of the two circles behind the chalice, building on December's lesson on candles and our chalice. The service will include allies of Sister Souurce as leaders.

Sister Souurce will present The Vagina Monologues for women/femme folks on February 13, 7-9 PM EST, in partnership with Church of The Bando, and another Global Worship at the end of February, open to all. Visit https://www.sistersouurce.org/globalworship
