"Kindling the Light of Compassion: A Divali Service"

This Unitarian Universalist Divali service celebrates the Festival of Lights as a universal call to nurture compassion and bring healing into our world. Drawing from Hindu traditions with a UU flair, the service weaves together stories, music, and ritual to honor the triumph of light over darkness and love over fear. Whether familiar with Diwali or discovering it for the first time, all are welcome to gather in community for this service of light, compassion, and hope.

Please join us after the service for snacks, including Indian sweets, coffee and conversation in the Fellowship Hall.

Menaca and Bhaskar Padakandla are proud Indian immigrants. They have been members of Horizon for 12 years and enjoy sharing their Hindu culture with the UU community.
