July 6 at 2:00 PM EDT "Declaration of Interdependence"
Nearly 250 years after the Declaration of Independence was written, the United States is still struggling to define what liberty and freedom for all truly mean. The Community Church of New York's Intern Minister Karishma Gottfried offers another perspective — one where we center interdependence and the knowledge that none of us are free until all of us are free. Featuring a reading of Amanda Gorman's poem "The Hill We Climb" and stunning music performed by the Community Church choir, join virtually or in person in midtown Manhattan at 2pm Eastern on Sunday, July 6th.
Karishma Gottfried serves as DRUUMM's Outreach Co-Coordinator. This service will be hybrid, at The Community Church of New York and online.
DRUUMM is Unitarian Universalism’s oldest and largest People of Color collective. We are a front door for new people and a spiritual home that enriches our liberal religious tradition.
