This is sacred work that shapes our UU faith and is part of a larger sacred vision that has theological depth and makes room for the spirit. - DRUUMM Values
Come experience being in a Black, Indigenous, and People of Color* community, deepening our relationships, energizing our spirit, and nurturing solidarity. This gathering centers our diverse experiences, offers healing through community, and encourages one another to spiritual growth. This gathering is co-hosted by DRUUMM, the UUA Thrive Youth & Young Adults of Color Program, and local BIPOC leaders. We will have a potluck dinner (bringing a dish is optional) before a facilitated program with an opportunity to meet and share in this unique space.
The event is a BIPOC sacred space reserved for UU People of Color and People of Color interested in Unitarian Universalism. White parents/guardians of youth of color are welcome.
*DRUUMM recognizes every Community of Color is impacted differently, and each community maintains its own unique identity and culture. BIPOC/People of Color/Person of Color/Community of Color is a political identity of survival and being in resistance to racism and colonialism, one that builds solidarity and create positive change.
DRUUMM is Unitarian Universalism’s oldest and largest People of Color collective. We are a front door for new people and a spiritual home that enriches our liberal religious tradition.
