Community Vigil

Wednesday, April 19th 1:00 PM Eastern

Zoom: https://uua.zoom.us/j/95306313911?pwd=cmhIODdodHN2dUM1dmpjbzFnYVdRdz09

We invite you to join us for a Vigil of Remembrance, centering on the terrifying and devastating Atlanta Spa Shootings that took the lives of many Asian Americans, and honoring ancestors who have suffered violence and marginalization in our society. Join us for a multisensory solemn service of lament and connection including words from Michelle Kang, an Atlanta-based Korean-American community organizer, and a ritual of remembrance.  Led by Asian American colleagues Cathy Chang, Yuri Yamamoto, Nico Van Ostrand, Shari Halliday-Quan, and Joseph Santos-Lyons.

Participants are invited to bring the names of loved ones, community members, and ancestors who have experienced violence and marginalization and a memento such as a photograph or token for our altar.
