DRUUMM’s Peer Network brings together organizers of local BIPOC UU groups for mutual support and special guests. We gather on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 8:00-8pm Eastern (5pm Pacific) via zoom. Connect with other local leaders, exchange ideas and practices, and build a stronger network together.
Hello, Beloveds! In our February session with Rev. Mel Hoover, everyone uplifted and shared a deep need to hear more storytelling from UUs of color. In March and April, the DRUUMM Peer Network will focus on radical welcome and welcome a guest panel of UUs of color to share their stories. The March session will welcome Saranna Weller-Filz, Rev. Gary ᏙᏧᏩ McAlpi, Roddy Biggs, and Luis Sierra Campos to share about their paths to and in Unitarian Universalism. They will share a variety of perspectives: being transracial adoptees, being from and in a multiracial family, growing up UU, coming to UU as an adult, and being QTPOC (queer and trans people of color) in this faith.
DRUUMM is Unitarian Universalism’s oldest and largest People of Color collective. We are a front door for new people and a spiritual home that enriches our liberal religious tradition.
